THE GRAND, GRAND CANYON...

Being one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the world, it was hard for us to go to Arizona without stopping by to marvel at this spectacular site... 

I don't know where to begin other than to say; It's BIG and it's BREATHTAKING...

The five tribes that represent the Grand Canyon are Havasupia, Hualapai, Southern Paiute, Navajo and the Hopi...

Thats one big handprint...

It really is turning out to be the trip of a lifetime!

MAROON BELLS...

Hiding at the base of the Rocky Mountains is a gorgeous, quiet, snowy, little opening... Maroon Bells.

The most photographed Mountain Range in America and just around the corner from the beautiful little town of Aspen, it sets the scene for the perfect Winter Wonderland. 

Just standing on the edge of the lake and absorbing the majestic view that surrounds you it almost feels as if you're standing on the top of the world. 

It's not very often you catch a view like this in the UK...

And what a difference a day makes...

I came to Aspen hoping for snow and boy did I get what I wished for! 

A truly magical place... I miss it already.

BASS PRO...

A museum or a store? Who knows? Maybe a bit of both? All I know is it's possibly the best store I've ever set foot in, and believe me I've set foot in a lot! I'd even go as far to say as I'd quite happily set up camp and live there. 

Not much for me to personally purchase but a lot for me to look at, and even to lust after for the decor of my own little apartment back in the UK. 

Love it or hate it, it's hard not to find it fascinating. The nature of the majestic mountains of the US put on display all under one roof, mountain lions, grizzly bears, elk, fox, raccoon an even a live aquarium. 

They also have some pretty interesting hot sauces...

Before we worked up an appetite ourselves and stopped for a bite to eat in their in store restaurant...

Who knew I could say I like Alligator!?

Spending most of the day meandering around Bass Pro I can safely say its one of my favourite stores in America... maybe even in the WORLD!

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE...

Having not been very pro-active on here lately, the reason for this is all to become clear, I'm here... in AMERICA!!!

Not for good, unfortunately, but on vacation and as many of you may know, those few weeks running up to a long vacation can become pretty manic. 

After recently celebrating Dad's 50th Birthday, we promised to make it a special one, so here we are in his home country, and funnily enough, my home State, Colorado. 

First stop...Denver!

And we already love this place...
